Posh Pets Spain
Meet the TeamRachel
Rachel was brought up in the dog world, having attended her first dog show at the mere age of 10 days old. She is the Third Generation to work with dogs. Having shown English and Gordon Setters throughout the U.K. it soon became clear she was destined to follow her families’ footsteps in the animal world.
Rachel fully qualified as a Groomer in 1995 and a year later she successfully took over the family business running a Kennels, Cattery and Grooming Salon in Derbyshire.
In 2003, Rachel decided to move to a warmer climate with her daughter and three setters. She began her journey with a small grooming salon “Hair off the Dog II” in the centre of Alhaurin after many requests from clients she decided to expand and this is where Posh Pets Spain’s journey began.
Rachel is fully qualified in Advanced Pet First Aid & CPR.
When she gets some time off she enjoys skiing, walking and enjoying the simplicity of nature. She has started learning to Kite Surf too.
Jasmine
Jasmine moved to Spain in 2003 when she was 8 years old with her mum & 3 Setters. Jasmine has always been around animals having been brought up around cats & dogs as Rachel (her mum) ran a kennels & salon in Derbyshire.
Jasmine used to regularly go to Dog Shows as the family also used to show setters. On arriving in Spain within 2 months rescued her first “best friend” Sweetpea a little terrier/ corgi cross puppy from the road in Monda and that is where her love of rescuing and re-homing started.
Jasmine loves all animals & adopted a Bull terrier too, she also has at home two cats that she rescued and a tortoise however she is forever finding kittens, takes them in & finds them forever homes.
Jasmine is behind the Christmas shoe box appeal we do here for local pet shelters we support. She is fully qualified in Advanced Pet First Aid & CPR.
In her free time she loves reading, skiing, dog walking, the outdoors and is a keen animal activist.

Rosana
My love for animals comes from even before I started talking and walking. I was in the baby carriage on the street wanting to touch and feed all the animals. My passion for horses also started when I was very young.
I qualified as a veterinary auxiliary nurse in December 2022. I love walking through nature and along the beach with my two dogs in my free time.

Charlotte
I moved to Spain 8 years ago after coming on holiday and falling in love with Andalucia. My love for animals has been there since before I was walking, when I was a baby my mother was a dog groomer and she would go out and collect the dogs for the day. Once back I would be crawling around with them, drinking out of there dog water bowls pretending to be them.
As a child I was always surrounded with animals, dogs, cats, horses, chickens, rabbits with my biggest passion being horses, I competed from a young age for British Dressage and after moving to Spain I carried that on to become Malaga Champion in 2022.
After having 2 children it wasn’t so easy with the horses so went to follow my biggest love, dogs.
I was a mobile hairdresser in the UK, so using my skills with scissors and clippers, with my love of dogs, following this career as a dog groomer seemed like a great choice.
I’m fully qualified in Advanced Pet First Aid & CPR.
Meg
Volunteering on an animal farm during the summer of 2018 taught me many qualities about caring for animals in need and how important it is to help out when you can. My skills with dogs blossomed when I rescued my beautiful belgian malinois, Meeka. It was a very rewarding journey to see her change and grow into a loving friend for life.
In my free time I love to explore new and exciting places in Spain or simply relax at home with my 4 furry friends.
I’m is fully qualified in Advanced Pet First Aid & CPR.
