About Us

Poshpets Spain is based just outside the village of Alhaurin el Grande on the A404 Churriana – Coin Road, twenty minutes inland from Marbella.

This unique business has a style of its own and beautifully located in the grounds of a mature orchard in the heart of the Andalucian countryside. The company originally started by the setting up of an English Grooming Salon in the village of Alhaurin el Grande in 2004, its founder Rachel Goutorbe was able to bring her knowledge and skills from both the pet & show world in the UK to Spain.

Poshpets Spain is affectionately known as the “Little Company with the BIG heart”.

Pet Grooming: "Hair off the dog II" opened in April 2004. Rachel who runs the salon wanted to bring her knowledge of grooming & clipping dogs to Spain. Rachel has 14 years of experience in running her own salon. "Hair off the dog I" is still going strong in the UK.


Pet Boarding: Small, friendly, unique, non commercial accommodation is what is on offer for your pet. The Doggie Hotel offers your pet the chance to have a holiday too. A "Hansel & Gretel" style chalet for up to 8 dogs with its own private enclosure, surrounded by a beautiful mature orchard. Our facilities now include a premiere luxury cattery.


Polite Pets: We want you to have a wonderful relationship with your pet therefore we hope we have found an ideal pet package for you and your pet to enjoy using the skills of 3 different people to provide a 7 week course.


Pet Transport: We specialise in pet relocation services to and from Spain, France and the UK, where we can transport your pet in perfect comfort. We organise trips on a regular basis and we conduct a professional welfare policy,......your pet is in 'perfect hands'.


Canine Beautician Training: Whether it be a view to starting your own business, working from an established salon, kennels or veterinary practice, and have a positive personality then you could also become a canine beautician.


Boutique shop: We offer fantastic pet products such as clothing, collars, personalised items and much more. We are stockists of Puppy Angel designer pet clothes and some very special Poshpet Personalised items too! Our products make ideal gifts for pets and wonderful surprises for their owners.
